Dogs origins

Dogs Origins

Humans have domesticated the gray wolves to make them their companions. They mainly selected young wolves as they noticed it was much easier to domesticate than adult wolves. Even though wolves are curious animals, they are wary about humans and do not like to get too close to humans. Therefore, the selection of wolves was not that easy and took time.

The first domesticated dogs were mainly use as guard dogs or as working dogs, in farms.

With the development of transportation, human imported new breeds of dogs and started to select them for breeding.
